Terms and Policies......
~A discount is offered for prepayment of class fees. When you prepay for the session, (which is 4, 6 or 8 consecutively scheduled classes, depending on the length of the current session) your spot is guaranteed for the entire session and you receive a discount off of the single, per class tuition. Prepayments are meant to be used during the session that they are initially purchased towards and do not carry over to future sessions. Enrollment for each class must be limited due to space limitations and so that as the instructor, I can be sure to give everyone individual attention. When a class fills up, other students must be referred to future sessions where they can have a guaranteed spot. For this reason, tuition must be used during the session that it was first purchased for.
~ A "Pay By The Class" option is available at $15 per class. If you decide to "Pay By The Class", you will receive a discount on any secondary class that you attend in a given week. For example, your first class in any given week is $15. Your second class during the same week is $12.00. "Pay By The Class" is offered on a space available basis. If you know that you will most likely attend the whole session, and the "Pay By The Class" option works best for you, please let me know so that I can hold your spot for the entire session.
~ No refunds on prepaid classes.
~ Pro-rating of session: If you know you'll miss a specific class date/s during the session, please contact me before registering. I may be able to prorate your session under certain circumstances. Tuition is not refundable after payment is received.
~ Make up classes: If you have to miss a class, you are welcome to attend another class available during the same session even if it's a different topic/format. However, please keep in mind that your make up class may be totally different from your regular class based on the format being covered. Make up classes do not carry over into future sessions.
~ Cancellations: A class will only be cancelled by the instructor in cases of serious illness, injury, family emergency or inclement/dangerous weather or road conditions. Generally speaking, if Selah School District holds classes, we will too, unless conditions dictate a cancellation. During the winter months, class sessions will include a pre-scheduled make-up date/s. Students are expected to keep that make-up date/s available in case of regularly scheduled class cancellation and no refund will be given for students who are unable to attend the pre-announced make-up class. If circumstances prevent inclement weather make-up classes, students will receive a pro-rated refund or credit for the cancelled class/es.
~ Cancellation NOTICES: In the event of a cancelled class, instructor will send all student an email to the email address on file, post the cancellation to the "Belly By Heather" Facebook fan page and to the instructor's personal profile Facebook page. A notice will also be placed on the home page of www.SelahBellyDance.com. Please make sure your email address is up to date and check messages on bad weather days.
~ IN SHORT: This policy is in place to help clarify expectations. Prepaid (discounted) tuition for each full session is not meant to be spread out over the course of several sessions.
The most effective instruction (even if short term) is best utilized over a consistent, week to week period of time. I want to teach great belly dance classes and offer you the best instruction possible in Selah & Yakima. I value all of my students and want to accommodate everyone as best I can. However, making exceptions to this policy takes up a lot of time, creates administrative chaos, raises my own professional expenses and takes time away from reviewing new music, creating new choreography and class planning.
